Just finished 6 miles on the JRP. Was going to run a little with the gang at 6 this morning but decided last night to go to 7 Peaks and a 6 mile run would just get in the way. So I went out at 10 tonight and enjoyed a beautiful night. I was running just north of willow park in a portion of the trail that is a tunnel of trees. There is no light nearby and can be quite dark. Tonight I was running right at the moon. It was right in my field of vision and alarmingly bright. It was like running on the street in the dark with a car coming straight at you. The light blinds you so you can't even see the road, or in this case the trail. I've never noticed the moon blinding me before. Weird. |
