This is not a running related post. My brother-in-law, who comes across as the opposite of articulate wrote this poem as a tribute to 9/11 on today's 10th anniversary. (No one even knew he wrote poetry. He works in a coal mine.) Tears in a Waterfall Like the thin veil of innocence over our National
eyes, twin giants fell for our witness of evil.
While we watched,
paralyzed by distance, a city responded: a nation resolved. Regular people
forced into extraordinary circumstances, emerge tragically
heroic.
Thousands of lights forever extinguished, Nation and Family weep
in quiet defiance.
Two beautiful cascading pools stand and bear witness
to the tears of a National Family held forever, flowing in
memorium.
Tears in a waterfall are forever our waterfall of tears.
