Kenpo today. I'm not coordinated and struggled with all the moves, that may account with why it wasn't really hard for me. My heart rate didn't seem to be elevating like it should be for that work out. Anyway, I went for a run afterwards. I've been reading about form, landing on the mid-foot, etc. I want to find a book or two if anyone recommends one. So I think I was doing fairly well but could't maintain it at all. I got winded in a hurry, but couldn't seem to figure out how to take it easy running that way. I noticed when I was gassed I wanted to revert to my old form so instead I walked for a bit. I tried shortening my stride but then that increased my turnover, which is probably a good thing, but I couldn't maintain that either. Some of the fatigue probably has something to do with the 1 hour kenpo I did immediately before the run, but still, two miles? Oh well, I don't know that it will improve much because I'll have very little time to run over the next 90, or actually 84 days. |
