4 evening miles.  I never run in the evening but I trimmed the yard with the weed-eater so I figured since I needed a shower anyway I would just run instead of getting up early the next morning.  It was warm and muggy but at least the sun wasn't pounding down.  Also, first time in at least 7 months that I ran an average pace of less than 9.  Hoo-Ray.  Knee felt pretty good but it is still different than the other one.  Doesn't hurt, just different.  I'll run my 4th week of two fours next week and then start slowly adding miles.  I'm itching to run more than that, but I'm also scared so I'll stick with my extremely conservative schedule.

I don't think your conservative plan is all that bad. Do what you know your body can handle! Hooray on the pace...I'm still working on that one :)

Nice RE the pace. It was so humid last night. Ugh!

Your knee seems to be exactly like my achilles. Not a huge amount of pain, but it just isn't right.

RAD - Thanks for the encouragement. I think the 3 or 4 days off does my knee quite a bit of good even though it is driving me crazy. I finally feels good and I want more miles!

Scott - The difference between my knee and your Achilles is that you can run the Alpine Loop. That's awesome. I've always wanted to do that but I'm a little afraid of getting hit by a car. That road seems pretty narrow. But now I'm going to do it, although I'll probably drop off a car.

Well, I'm jealous of how fast you're recovering.
